Evaluation
My magazine used many media products, as to start off I had to research other School Magazines but also other magazine types to look at the typically conventions of a magazine. This helped me develop my idea as a whole as I was able to get a variety of different ideas on how to lay my magazine out and see the kind of things that are liked to be seen in published School Magazine. My school magazines represent the social group of school kids. Which would make a variety of ages and genders? As this is a school magazine there would not be a certain type of social group as it would be able to assess all school children. Children that are part of the particular school that my magazine had been made for would be more of the social group it is to represent rather than school kids from other schools’ magazine and publishing institution would be more likely to distribute my magazine because this would be the best institution to deal with it. As they would specialise in publishing magazines, so by finding these to distribute my magazine it would help the success off it .The audience of my magazine would be school kids, as my magazine is a School magazine school kids would be the main audience. Although parents would also be an audience that my magazine would be directed at as then they can see what has been happening with in the school through each issue. But my main audience would be pupils of the school therefore this would be girls and boys between the ages of 11 and 18. My magazine has sections such as; Sport and Dance and Drama therefore the audience could be more of the people who are interested more in these particular subjects that I have choose to concentrate my magazine on. In my magazine I used a lot of bright colours, and bold fonts on all the main subjects throughout. This would be so that these things all stand out on my magazine and also make my magazine a lot more eye catching and interesting. I have also put a lot of photographs, more than I have written as I think that school kids would not want to read lots of information, so I picked photographs that represent something and also could tell a story in themselves which would attract people. By using the school logo this would instantly attract the people as they will see that this is their school magazine and would hopefully want to read it. Overall to attract school children my magazine needs to be big, bright and bold in everything. I have learnt about the technologies of all the programmes I have used throughout constructing my School magazine such as; InDesign and Photoshop. I have learnt to work and create my magazine using InDesign, I had to get to grips with everything on there and understand how to use it and do certain things. I have also had to use new things on Photoshop to allow me to edit photos and also add text to photographs. By undertaking this prelim task I have learnt a lot of new skills on these programmes. By doing the prelim task before undertaking the task of my final full project I have learnt a lot of new things from new skills to looking at research. By researching before I started my project it really helped expand my knowledge on layout of magazines and the typical conventions of a school magazine. I have also learnt how to uses new programmes and generate my final magazine. All of these elements worked together and helped me achieve and enabled me to create my Prelim task of a School Magazine front cover and contents page. This will really help me when I come to do my full project as I can use all my knowledge I have picked up from this task and put it into my final project.
First part of my research of School Magazines, which is discused in the above, which helped me to devolp and challange my own school magazine.

Institution
Trinity School, the only Church of England Secondary school in the London Borough of Bexley. Trinity is a school with a strong Christian ethos . The Act of Worship, Eucharist and prayer meetings serve to confirm and support work in the classroom and our expectations of students including those belonging to other faith communities.
I would have to be careful with the content of my School Magazine for Trinity School due to it begin a school I would no be able to use a photo of someone wearing something reavaling as this would not be appropiate for the viewing of the audience age range. Also due to the school being a Church of England school I woluld have to be careful of the moral and ethical Oblications.
Drafts
Here is my first draft for my School Magazine front cover. I think this works well as everything is spaced out and with having the picture in the center this will prevent any dead space.
Here is my more detailed and final draft of my front cover. This gives and shows a better outline of what my magazine will look like also shows the shacing of everything and how things are going to be layed out. Again having the photograph fillng the middle space will be the first thing the audience see and will attract them in also it prevents the likelyness of dead space.
Here is my first draft of my school magazine contents page, I think my layout works quite well as every page has its own photograph and info to go with it. This will help the reader understand what each page is about.
Here is my final draft for my contents page. I think this works well as every page is clearly underlined so the audience know straight away what page is what. Also having a photograph to connect with each page instantly gives the reader a insight to what that page is about. Having information that links with the page and the photograph will give the reader a quick glimps of what the article is about and hopefully they will what to read on.
